Community engagement is an important process of any process to change the use of an area. An opportunity to have your say is available for all through the Fishermans Bend Taskforce.
Fishermans Bend is Australia’s largest urban renewal project, covering approximately 480 hectares on the doorstep of Melbourne’s CBD. Located on the south side of the Yarra River, north of Port Melbourne and South Melbourne, it consists of five precincts across two municipalities – the City of Melbourne and the City of Port Phillip.
The project is transforming much of what is currently largely industrial land into new dynamic new neighbourhoods which will support a predicted 80,000 jobs and 80,000 residents by 2050.
To help inform our planning, the Fishermans Bend Taskforce is seeking community engagement and contributions around priority services, amenities, and local insights around what will make this a great neighbourhood in the future.
